Cascades Recreation Area
A scenic and popular destination located in the Little Stony Creek Valley. Visitors can hike to view spectacular Cascades waterfall and afterward enjoy a picnic lunch. This is a 4 mile loop trail to 66' waterfalls with elevations from 2200 to 2900 feet.

Claytor Lake State Park
It's an ideal setting for boating, swimming, camping, hiking and picnicking. Sport fishing is especially popular. Boating supplies, fuel and refreshments are available at the marina. Twelve cabins overlook the 4,500-acre lake. The historic Howe House features interactive exhibits that cover the ecology of the lake and the surrounding areas. The park is just off Interstate 81 (exit 101) near Dublin in Pulaski County. Located on the 4,500-acre, 21-mile long Claytor Lake in the New River Valley of southwestern Virginia, Claytor Lake State Park offers a wide variety of activities for water and land enthusiasts.

Randolph Park
Randolph Park is a premier outdoor recreation center featuring 87 acres of natural settings, a water park, athletic fields, basketball courts, and playgrounds. This beautiful park has become a destination spot for many outdoor recreation enthusiasts. People travel from all over SW Virginia to enjoy the 8 land pool, 38 ft. long water slide, to play Frisbee golf, sand volleyball, horseshoes or to meet friends and family at one of the picnic shelters.

Mid-County Park
Montgomery County has seven park offerings throughout the county. Each park is unique in its own way ranging from small pocket parks to linear biking and hiking trails to its largest 110 acre Mid-County Park. Swimming, picnicking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, athletic ball fields, playgrounds, walking tracks, and natural areas are all amenities that can be found throughout Montgomery County’s park system. Bisset Park & Wildwood Park
A mecca for outdoor activities stretching right along the New River, Bisset Park offers over 100 acres of playgrounds, tennis courts, soccer and football fields, picnic shelters, a volleyball court, and paved trails reserved just for walkers and joggers. Wade fishing opportunities also abound with the park’s access to the New River. Additionally, Tangent Outfitters operates a satellite store out of Bisset Park, where canoes, kayaks, and inner tubes can be rented and used on the river.

Christiansburg Aquatic Center
The Christiansburg Aquatic Center, located at 595 North Franklin St., is home to a 50-meter Olympic-sized pool, accompanied by 1& 3 meter spring boards, as well as 5, 7.5 and 10 meter diving platforms. This facility also has a leisure pool filled with fun for the kids! The leisure pool features dumping buckets, spray features, a two-story, triple-loop water slide, and a 20-yard, 4-lane lap pool. Right next to the leisure pool is our warm-water therapy pool; great for those looking for a little relaxation while the kids are playing. And don't forget to catch some rays on the huge sundeck located right outside of the leisure pool. Bring your lunch and eat on one of the many picnic tables or relax in the comfortable lounge chairs. The Aquatic Center also boasts a fitness area, WI-FI, 1,000 seats for spectators, locker rooms, family changing areas, wet classrooms, a warming kitchen, and multi-purpose rooms.
Access to the Christiansburg Aquatic Center may be obtained from exit 118 off I-81, approximately 2 miles into the Town, and conveniently accessible via US Route 460.
The vision of the Christiansburg Aquatic Center is to provide a state-of-the-art aquatic facility that enhances the health, fitness, recreational and competitive needs throughout our region. Christiansburg Skate Park
The Christiansburg Skate Park is located off Franklin Street, right next to the Aquatic Center. This popular street-style skate park offers challenges like a half-pipe, vert, grinding rails, and a stair-step. A great place to hang-out, but please follow all posted rules and regulations.

Gatewood Park & Reservoir
Gatewood Park and Reservoir is 400 scenic acres nestled in the heart of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. Surrounded by the Jefferson National Forest and located near the Town of Pulaski, Gatewood is accessible from Interstates 81 and 77 and offers exciting recreational opportunities for the entire family.
Built as a town water impoundment in 1960, the park provides visitors with rest and relaxation through camping, boating, fishing, hiking, picnicking , and other activities provided by a full time staff.
Owned by the Town of Pulaski, and operated by the Pulaski Parks and Facilities Department, Gatewood is a well managed facility with a rustic touch which compliments its wilderness setting.
